What if...
The only thing you had
was Time..but
Time was not on
your side?

I realized one day
That time was not
my friend;
not even an associate
Time was just a
joke played by Hope
on silly folks..like me
For as much Time
as I'd seem to have
Hope's ass would
make it drag on and on
til it was suddenly
ghost... gone
Then Hope would laugh
at my stupid ass for
believing I had Time
when my only mistake,
my tiny crime was
thinking Love would
buy us Time, and
Hope that we could be;
But that bitch Hope,
she never liked me, and
Time was just a fallacy,
and Love... Love became
a casualty
